Three ways to
stop overpaying.
Cash Discount, Surcharge, and Cost Plus / Wholesale — all supported natively by your equipment. Dwight will help you pick the right fit for your average ticket and your customers. Available where permitted by law.
Cash Discount
Take the cost of card acceptance off your bottom line.
Your listed price becomes the cash price. Non-cash customers see a small, clearly disclosed adjustment at checkout that offsets the cost of processing — so you keep more of every sale.
Lower-ticket businesses — barber shops, quick-service restaurants, convenience stores.
- Cash customers pay the listed price
- Card adjustment disclosed at the point of sale and on the receipt
- Merchant keeps 100% of the listed price
- Works across the supported hardware and software
- Earns Synergy Merchant Rewards
Available where permitted by law.
Surcharge
Pass a credit-card fee to the customers who choose to use one.
Credit-card customers pay a 4% surcharge, automatically detected and disclosed at checkout. Debit cards are never surcharged — instead the merchant is billed a low 1.49% + $0.26 per debit transaction. Your equipment tells credit from debit for you.
Higher-ticket businesses — auto repair, jewelry, higher-end salons.
- 4% surcharge on credit cards only
- Debit is not surcharged (billed 1.49% + $0.26)
- Card type detected automatically at checkout
- Customers can keep paying by card
- Earns Synergy Merchant Rewards
Available where permitted by law.
Cost Plus / Wholesale
Transparent interchange-plus pricing when you'd rather absorb the fee.
You pay wholesale interchange plus a small, fixed markup — fully transparent on every statement. Best when you prefer to keep card acceptance free for every customer at a low, predictable rate.
Merchants who want to absorb processing cost at a transparent, low rate.
- Interchange + a small fixed markup
- No surcharge or cash-discount adjustment to customers
- Transparent line items on every statement
- Predictable, wholesale-based pricing
Available where permitted by law.
